About

The Gold Coast, next to the Nandaihe resort area in Changli County, is one of China's best natural sandy coastlines — fine sand, a gentle slope, clear water, and mild tides. Behind the beach lie genuine sand dunes, an unusual dune-meets-sea landscape. Its signature attraction is the International Sand-Sliding Center, one of the country's larger sand-sliding grounds, where visitors ride a board down the dunes toward the sea; jet skiing and banana boats are also available. The open beach itself is free; the sand-sliding center and other activity zones operate seasonally with separate tickets. It suits young travelers, families, and water-sports fans.

Before you go

  • Sand-sliding is the signature activity here — sliding down the tall dunes straight toward the sea is a thrilling ride.
  • The sand gets very hot in summer sun, so wear sandals or flip-flops.
  • It's windy and sunny by the sea, so pack both sunscreen and a windbreaker.
  • The sand-sliding center only operates seasonally (roughly early April to early October) — confirm it's open before visiting in the off-season.
  • Water activities like jet skis and banana boats are usually billed separately, so ask about pricing before joining in.

Tickets The beach itself is free. The International Sand-Sliding Center and similar attractions are ticketed separately — adult tickets are around 80 RMB at the gate (some online channels list discounted prices around 35 RMB, or about 60 RMB for group deals), with tickets for children/seniors around 50 RMB (discounted to about 35 RMB online). Sand-sliding, grass-sliding and go-karts are usually included in the sand-sliding center ticket, generally good for one ride each; booking online in advance is typically cheaper than paying at the gate, so it's worth comparing prices on travel platforms first.

Hours The beach area is open all day. The paid attractions, such as the International Sand-Sliding Center, run seasonally, roughly early April to early October, 8:50 AM-4:30 PM (last entry 4:00 PM) — check the current season's posted hours.
