Ledao Ocean Kingdom is a large seaside theme park in Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao, combining marine-animal shows with water and amusement rides. The park has four zones: Ocean Land, Water Land, a Miami-style area, and an ocean carnival section. Highlights include daily dolphin, sea lion and beluga whale performances, plus a summer water park with large slides and pools. Getting there

By train & bus

From Qinhuangdao Railway Station, take bus 8 to the Sanzhong stop, then cross the street and transfer to bus 25 to the Ledao stop. From Qinhuangdao Sidaoqiao Bus Station, take bus 25 or 35 directly to the Ledao stop. From Shanhaiguan Railway Station, take bus 25 to the Ledao stop.

By car

Route 1: from the Qinhuangdao East exit, go straight, turn left onto Qinhuang Avenue, and follow it about 17 km to Ledao Ocean Kingdom. Route 2: from Shanhaiguan Mengjiangkou, take the Jingha connector to Guancheng South Road, turn left onto Shihe Road, then turn right at the Shihe Road/Longhai Avenue intersection and continue straight to the park.

The site has a parking lot with about 800 spaces; the reference fee is about ¥20 per visit (check the price posted on site).

Before you go

• The park is open seasonally (roughly late April to late October) and closed in winter, so confirm it's open before you go.
• Water Paradise only operates in summer — bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and a waterproof bag if you plan to get wet.
• Dolphin, sea lion, and beluga shows run on a fixed schedule posted at the entrance or on the park's official account each day, so plan your route around them.
• Summer sun is intense, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water.
• The park is large and spread out, so plan for a full day and think through your route between rides and shows.
• Peak season (especially summer weekends) gets very crowded, so arrive early to beat the rush.

Tickets Full-price admission is ¥160 per person, with discounts for children, students, seniors, and military/disabled visitors. Children under 1.2m enter free (with an adult); children under 16 get half price; seniors 60-69 get half price and those 70+ enter free; full-time students get half price with ID; people with disabilities and active-duty or disabled military personnel enter free with valid ID. The ticket is an all-park pass covering Ocean Paradise, the Miami-themed area, the Ocean Carnival, and the seasonal Water Paradise. The park is only open seasonally, so check the official channels or a platform like Ctrip or Qunar for whether it's open and the current price before you go, since prices and discount policies can change year to year.
