About

Biluota (Green Snail Tower) Sea Bar Park sits on a small peninsula in eastern Beidaihe, between Pigeon Nest Park to the north and Tiger Stone Park to the south, covering about 106 mu. Its landmark, a 21-meter, seven-story spiral tower shaped like a sea snail, was built around 1990 and is tied to a local legend about envoys arriving on a "green snail boat." By day the whitewashed, Santorini-style buildings and sea views draw photographers; by night it becomes Beidaihe's nightlife hub, with beach bars, bonfire shows, live bands, and summer electronic-music and sunset parties. It suits couples, young travelers, and nightlife seekers.

Highlights

  • Spiral shell-shaped Biluo Tower

Before you go

  • Arrive around 4pm to photograph the Santorini-style architecture in daylight before waiting for sunset and the evening show.
  • The view from the top of the tower is the best on site, so leave enough time to climb up and take in the sea.
  • If you plan to attend the evening bonfire or bar show, check that day's lineup and showtimes in advance.
  • Summer peak season gets crowded — book online ahead of time to avoid queuing on site.

Tickets Adult ticket ¥48; discounted ticket ¥25 for ages 60-69; free for over-70s and children under 1.2m. Evening packages (show + views + bar experience) run about ¥80-120. Daytime and evening-show tickets are priced differently — choose based on whether you want the evening bonfire/bar show, and check current prices on Ctrip or Meituan before buying.

Hours Regular hours 10:00-22:00, extended to 9:30-22:30 on holidays; during summer (around late June-July) hours have sometimes extended to midnight — check the day's notice posted at the site.

Frequently asked

Can I visit Biluota during the day and at night?

Yes — daytime is for the architecture and sea views, while the evening brings a bonfire, live band, and bar performances; arriving in the late afternoon lets you enjoy both.

Does the regular ticket include the evening show?

No, the regular admission and the evening-show package are different tickets — buy the evening package if you want to see the bonfire show.

Is Biluota suitable for children?

The daytime architecture and sea views work well for families, but the bar atmosphere at night is more suited to adults and couples.
